** Special Edition Outdoor Silent Disco **

Seabright Beach

Once a year we head to the beach for a stunning Sunset Dance with our silent disco headphones...woot woot!

Come on out with your community to get down, have a good time, and hang out together in a relaxed, drug and alcohol free environment at the far end of Seabright Beach. Bring layers of clothing, a blanket, snacks, drinks, beach toys, frisbee, kids, hula hoops, or whatever else ya like that promotes expression and connection with care and respect. If you've got some extra wood for the fire and can bring it that'd be great.

We'll meet around the furthest fire pit (toward the cliff) and dance in that general area. The headphones have quite a range! Usually we end up dancing near where the water meets the sand but people do roam and explore a bit too.

Be yourself, accept others. Respect the space and everyone in it. Yes to embodiment, creativity, and community! Please keep the dances drug/alcohol free and conversation out of the dance space!

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is a freeform movement space. Move however you wish. And you are always at choice about whether you want to dance solo or with other people.

​You can expect a two-hour, DJ'd musical "journey" from Daniel Mollner. The first 10-15 minutes is downtempo for you to arrive, warm up, and stretch as you like. The tempo begins to build gradually from there reaching a peak or catharsis in the second half of the dance. Afterwards the music comes down, softening and slowing towards the end for relaxation and rest as we conclude the dance.

It is VERY important to this community that dances feel reasonably safe and welcoming for ALL people…especially those who’ve been marginalized (LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, body type, neurodiverse, seniors). We ask everyone who comes to help us to continue making it so. We also ask for the willingness of traditionally marginalized people to come and dance with us as we learn and grow in this way.
