About the event

Unplug, power down, and go off line...

a digital detox weekend

“Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense.”

― Gertrude Stein, novelist and poet

Our souls are desperate to connect with the organic world. Where trees, grass, soil, and water are great teachers. The entire planet has given us a playground full of outdoor activities, where we can detox from our digital devices and be one with nature.

Research has shown there can be psychological and physical damage from overuse of technology that dominates much of our existence. The expectation of instant gratification, narcissism, distraction, vision problems, hearing loss, and neck strain are all associated with spending too much time in front of a screen.

Come disconnect to reconnect! We create a space and experience that gives individuals the freedom and permission they need to truly unplug and decompress. Put aside your screens to recharge, gain perspective, and reevaluate your relationship with digital technology. Reemerge from the experience with new found inspiration and tools to create more mindful, meaningful and balanced lives, both online and off.

By providing a truly integrated experience that nourishes both mind and body, while deepening one’s sense of self without the digital distractions of everyday life, we are able to focus on the tenets of true connection, rather than disconnection. It’s not just about unplugging. It’s about rediscovering what happens when we truly plug-in to life. As we disconnect from our devices, we reconnect with ourselves, our community, nature and the world at large.

Whether you know you need this or have just been curious to try a digital detox this weekend is for you! Join us for 2 days and 1 night at Skyview, a very special piece of land in the Santa Cruz mountains. There are breathtaking views and redwood fairy circles. A pond and treehouse platforms. Any number of special spots to reconnect to the magic of the natural, organic world and unplug from digital distraction and overwhelm.
