Contact classes are back!

A five class series for the month of May

May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Tuesday nights 7:00pm-9pm

One of the most compelling, enlivening aspects of Contact Improv is getting feet off the ground and experiencing the feeling of suspension, buoyancy, being lifted, suddenly rising mysteriously into the air...flying!! And also to assist someone in having that experience by being the lifting, propelling, catching/holding part of the dynamic. When those roles begin to flow into a series of trading places as lifted and lifter...well it's just pure joy in my book.

You will learn efficient, safer techniques to lift and be lifted. We will develop body-based awareness for finding pathways in and out of each other and the floor. Learning to fall is an essential part of being able to fly so be prepared to love falling as much as flying...in some ways they are just two sides of the same coin.

Open to all movers with at least some Contact Improv experience. You must sign up and pay for the whole series AND commit to making at least 3 of the 5 classes. There are no drop ins. This is a 5 class series for the whole month of May. I'll start a new series for beginners focusing on the basics of Contact Improv in July.
