Contact Improvisation (CI) is a profound and compelling movement exploration. Simple in essence, it offers endless layers for exploration. Curiosity, fun, pleasure, presence, creativity, and surprise are all part of this dance "form". Learn powerful ways to play and improvise in this 8 week class series taught by Daniel Mollner. Perfect for all levels of experience.

-- experience more fun in your dances!
IMPORTANT: Please do not wear jeans or things with buttons, buckles, or anything pointy or sharp. Also no watches or jewelry please. Wear comfortable, stretchable clothing you can move in. Bring both a long sleeve and a short sleeve shirt if possible. A water bottle as well, if you like.

You must pay for the full series and be able to make 6 of the 8 classes. No drop-ins.
Contact Improvisation is an embodied exploration that can be done solo or with others. It explores movement, stillness, going in and out of touch, and shared weight shifting/exchange from barely perceptible to full body. It's up to each individual. You are always at choice! Follow your curiosity and pleasure while listening to and respecting the body-based cues (or verbal requests) of others. Please take 100% responsibility for your experience and your own health and safety.
This is a consent-based space. Every BODY is unique. All are welcome, especially People of Color, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Same-Gender Loving People, seniors, and neurodiverse. Whatever your shape, size, age, or ability you are welcome and wanted here!

There are 4 of these equity tickets available on a first come, first served basis. This is an 8 week series playfully exploring Contact Improvisation. You commit to attending at least 6 of the 8 classes. Classes are from 7-9pm.
