An effective, satisfying combo!

Apply the principles and perspectives of Axis Syllabus (developed by Frey Faust) to Contact Improvisation and discover an extremely effective and satisfying movement experience. Come check out the possibilities when Axis meets Contact!

What: Axis/Contact

When: Thu 11/19 from 7-9pm

Where: German Cultural Center (230 Plymouth St.)

Cost: $30-$60 sliding scale

Explore and play with basic principles such as:

• The spinal engine

• Multi-planar movement

• Ramps and curves

• Spiral up and down

• Biomechanics and joint health

• Harnessing gravity

In addition, you will learn how to set yourself up for decades of dancing well beyond what you might imagine for yourself. Our bodies are capable of much more than we believe when research and knowledge is incorporated into freeform, improvisational movement.

I am not a certified Axis Syllabus teacher. In this class I'll be sharing what I learned while studying with the founder Frey Faust and the incredible benefits I experienced when applying it to my CI practice. Go HERE to learn more about Frey and the Axis Syllabus. He's incredible and this work changed my life.

** Note: Open to all levels of experience but at least some experience in Contact Improv is required. Please wear something comfortable to move in (no jeans, belt buckles, big jewelry, etc.) and bring a water bottle.
