A NOTE ABOUT FOOD

Everyone is providing their own meals. Bring your own food and camping gear to cook. Camp stoves are allowed. There will be some access to the large commercial kitchen on site but it can in no way accommodate everyone at camp. If you need supplies or want to buy prepared food, there is a decent grocery store 20 minutes away with a deli, hot food bar, salad/soup bar, etc.

There are refrigerators in the large communal kitchen that can be used for essential items but it's possible those will fill. Bring an ice chest and ice to be on the safe side. We may sell ice on site, but that store down the road will have plenty if needed.

UPDATE!! We now have a confirmed food vendor for some of the meals. We are not offering fully catered, shared meals for this campout due to health concerns at the time the campout was planned. At this stage it is too late to bring in a full on caterer. I am however having a food vendor for some portion of the campout. Below is a note from them on what they plan on offering. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS FOOD VENDOR CANNOT FEED THE ENTIRE CAMP EVERY DAY. All sales will be cash only.

For breakfast I am thinking to have some combination of the following:

Breakfast burritos, there will be an egg, and a vegan version available.

Superfood smoothies, a mix of berries, greens, flax. mushroom powders, pomegranate juice and almond milk

Hot Oatmeal, enhanced with spices, goji berries, and seeds

Chai, I am opting to provide chai instead of coffee.

Chia and Acai pudding

Yogurt Bowls, with granola, fresh fruit, hemp seeds etc

For Lunch:

A few different salad options that will be pre-made with a couple dressing options on the side. I know that when I camp veggies take up too much space in the cooler so tis will be a good opportunity to provide some.

Soups I will make some heartier soups like lentil, white bean and spring veggie and maybe a curry one like we had last night. I will likely only have one available at a time.

Bars i am working out some bars to offer.

For Dinner:

One hot option at night. Examples would be:

Vegetarian Chile with corn bread

Tofu Tacos with Kim Chi

Bean bowls with fresh veggies, brown rice, salsa, tortillas, etc

Curry with rice

You get the idea. A hot healthy option.

I also plan to offer some extras like kombucha,, elixirs, ice and perhaps more that I have not thought of yet! ALL SALES WILL BE CASH ONLY
